NEWS,ISLAMABAD / WASHINGTON - The administration of President Donald Trump has quietly started cutting Pakistani officials from prestigious training and academic programs, which are identifying bilateral military relations for more than a decade, US officials say.

This move has not been previously reported, this year is one of the known effects of Trump's decision, which forces Pakistan to crack down on Islamic terrorists to suspend US security assistance.

The Pentagon and the Pakistani army did not comment on direct decision or internal deliberations, but the officials of both the countries have personally criticized the move.

US officials, while speaking to Reuters on the condition of anonymity, said they were worried that the decision could weaken a major trust-building solution.NEWS, Pakistani officials warned that this leadership could push China or Russia to its army to look forward to the army.

A State Department spokesman told Reuters that the effective suspension of Pakistan from the US Government's International Military Education and Training Program (IMET) will stop different places for 66 Pakistani officials this year.

The places will either be expelled or given to other countries.

Former US special representative Dan Feldman NEWS,of Afghanistan and Pakistan called this move "very low vision and myopic".

Felman told Reuters, "It will have a negative negative impact to better bilateral relations in the future."

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the State Department spokesman said that the value of the IME cancellation was 2.41 million dollars. The spokesperson said that at least two other programs have also been affected.

It is not clear whether the level of military cooperation outside the UMET program is still going on, in the U.S. And beyond the top-level contacts between the Pakistani military leaders.

The US military has traditionally sought to cover such educational programs from political tension, arguing that the relations that have been brought to foreign military officers in the United States pay long-term dividends.

For example, Lieutenant General Naveen, the current Director General of Pakistan's powerful spy agency, Mokhtar, Inter-Services Intelligence Agency (ISI), the US Army's War College, which usually has two Pakistani military officers per year in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Major School War College for foreign officers of the US Army says that it has hosted 37 participants from Pakistan for the past several decades.NEWS, A spokesman said that he will not have any Pakistani students in the coming academic year.

Pakistan to the U.S. Naval warfare colleges, naval staff colleges and cyber security studies have also been removed from the courses.

"Lees and Deceit"
In his first tweet of 2018, Trump bowed to Pakistan and said that the country has rewarded previous American aid, "nothing except lies and deceit." In January, Washington announced plans to suspend Pakistan's US security assistance to about $ 2 billion.

But a few weeks later, Pakistan's Foreign Secretary had cited by the local media that Islamabad had been told that the United States would continue to fund IMET programs.

Pakistan has a complex connection to Washington's dependence on Pakistan for supplying its troops to Afghanistan with its official affiliates to fight terrorism, Pakistan and the United States, but Islamabad, facing the allegations, is playing a double game.

Tensions on American complaints have increased that the Haqqani network targeting Afghan Taliban militants and US soldiers in Afghanistan is allowed to shelter Pakistani soil.

Current and former American officials said that Defense Secretary Jim Matisz argued with the exception of Pakistani officials from IMET courses.

A former US defense official involved in the conversation said, "I am shocked ... we have worked so hard to become such a thing which has been saved."

Pentagon declined to comment on internal government discussions, but Dana White,NEWS, a spokeswoman for Pentagon, said that Matisse had long believed in the way of building a relationship between foreign forces in the value of the IMET program.

Pakistani Senator Mushahid Hussain, chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, told Reuters that the US decision to cut such exchanges would be counter-productive and would push Pakistan's army towards other countries.

Hussain said, "This is one of those stupid, punitive measures that he has deployed," who was sitting next to the Chinese and Pakistani flag in his office.

Russia and Pakistan signed an agreement earlier this week, which would allow Pakistani military officers to be trained in Russian institutions.
